What if.

On my way back from Amar's house a few hours/days/years/decades (depends on when you read this.) ago, I waited for the tram. And waited. And waited. Okay, I'll stop, this is not the purpose of this post. Anyway, when it came, I got on it and thought for awhile on why the fuck is the tram so fucking full when it's already fucking 7.00 in the evening. I felt like shouting:

Don't you guys have fucking families?! Wives to make love to?! Pets to kick around?! Kids to be used for target practice?!

But then again, visions of me being tied down onto the tram tracks wasn't that appealing so I acted against my will and shut up. Again, this is not the main point of this post. What is, is coming up next.

After a few stops, the tram stopped somewhere and people got down bla3 and people got in. What stole my attention was this man. He was probably going to be 50 in a few years and looked like he doesn't have a home. He carried a plastic bag full of junk and pretty much looked fucked up. Then, as the tram started to move, he did the following:

  1. Started shouting.
  2. Hollered at random chics. For example 'WOOO-HOOOO!, AAAAAAAA! etc. etc.
  3. Saw this dude that he most likely did not know and humped the air. A lot. What convinced me that the dude didn't know him was that he gave him the I-Don't-Fucking-Associate-Myself-With-Fucks-Like-You Grin. Copyrighted to me.
Everybody in the tram had the same thought. What the bloody fuck. It was on their faces, even the kids. The old man next to him waved in front of him just to shut him up but to no avail. At the next stop, the old man jumped of the tram. Literally.

The man continued his shouting/hollering/air humping until he arrived at his stop. Maybe it was his stop. I have no idea. Anyway, I was pretty much mind-fucked or easier and more politely said 'jammed' for awhile. Then the feeling of hate and despise grew in me. Then, this:

Compassion.
Understanding.
Reflection.

Why? Why should I spare my time for a useless bum like him? If you think that way then fuck off. I mean it. How shallow your mind and spirit truly is. How despicable. (No offense, but this is what I really think.)

The journey back home was filled with deep thinking. I kept on reminding myself. What if I was in his shoes? Would I shrivel up and die slowly in a corner or would I, like him, make a statement as if saying 'I AM FUCKING ALIVE!'? Would I lament and blame everybody else for what has happpened to me? Would I die that way?

I don't know. From the looks of it, that man has tasted life in a more direct way than I ever will. He might not have been there and done that but I am sure as hell we would never step into what he has gone through. I mean how many of us are like the old man? Try to shut him up and when we fail, we literally jump off and ignore? I can say that I am that old man. I try to deny it, but it is the truth, reality. Verum-i.

I'd like to meet that man again. I'd like to shake his hand and fucking thank him for making me realise where I have went wrong. I'd like to fucking thank him for waking me up. Most of all, I'd like to thank him for shoving reality down my throat.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnyyyyyyyyways.

Internet is back, thank the heavens for that. And thank you, Tharma and Nithya for telling me I have an awesome blog. (Note: I know you are reading this and I'd like to reveal to you that it was a mistake telling me. Now I will brag bout it until you decide to burn your PC/Laptop to ashes and sprinkle it into The Ganges to be purified. I'm kidding, really, thanks.)

I need to study Patho but I have neither the will nor the materials. The latter is pretty easy to get but the earlier. Umm... No, extremely difficult. But I have to. *Drinks Super-Will With Extra Eelekterolaights. Copyrighted to me.* Fuck, what a scam.

Back to presentations.

Oh, and the dude was most probably drunk and high. Therefore i deduce this:

Alcohol + Speed/Crack/Pot = Getting to be featured in a random guy's blog.

Fading Memories.

I'm forgetting. A lot. It scares me.

I forgot what my assignments are. So now I'm writing instead. I had such a clear idea on what I wanted to do when I was on my way to my friend's house. Now here I am sitting on the sofa trying to recall that the hell I wanted to do...

I know it had something to do with my presentations. I did my Histology and Pharmacology. I know there's something else I need to do. Fuck I hate this... Is it because of the lack of sleep? Or am I just starting to forget? Heavens forbid, I refuse to be like those characters in movies. I refuse.

Okay, done with that. Internet is down at home so here I am barging into my friend's house using their intenet. And trying to poison their kitten. Heh.

Finally got my camera charger back. Now I can at least do some photography. So out of touch lately, it feels as if apart of me is being erased slowly. Again, I refuse to let that happen. Nothing can take away my passion for photography. Hmmm...

I need ideas for stories. Things like random comments or conversations really help me in my writing. Thank God for over the edge imagination. Now the kitten just comfortably made my lap it's bed. Now's my chance to wring it's neck.

Now for some vanity.

Yeah, vanity, seven sins, whatever you call it. I don't fucking care. Heh. Taken during the last days I was at Ramlee's. Couldn't sleep that day so I got this idea for a 'vanity with a cigarette' idea. Yes, sleep deprivition does a lot to a guy. Tho the top image does appeal to me... Shodows are awesome!

And this... Is... the kitten... which I'm about to kill... *Supresses urge to take out dagger and skin the kitten alive* Ahem. Ahem-hem.

That is all.

The twisted sanctuary.

It is the most powerful thing in the world. It influences everything that a person does, be it good or bad. It is pure, yet it could be twisted. It is, without a doubt, the human mind.

See, I just came back from watching 'Coming Soon' at the Kampung. While we were together in a room, pfffttt that movie was like watching a cartoon made by person with very bad taste. As soon as I left for my house (a few steps away), I felt an extreme sense of fear. The few steps felt like a mile, in front of my door i fumbled to insert the key into the keyhole. I panicked. The darkness in my house added to the effect and then I switched on the light.

And instantly, the fear fled.

Why?

Simple. It's the mentality. We were brought up, at least i was, with tales of ghosts and spectres that lingered in the dark. Therefore, we immediately have this mindset of the dark being a very dangerous place. We bring the fears of our childhood throughout our life and whenever we are surrounded by darkness, we panic. Light becomes our saviour as it always has.

I don't know about you but have ever heard whispers when you are in a state of fear especially in the dark? I have and it scares the shietz out of me, every single time. It may be of supernatural origins but sometimes, it is just the power of the mind. My favourite example of the raw power of the mind is this:

A group of scientist gathered to study the power of the mind. They got this group of people and blindfolded them. The scientist told them that they were going to be injured to test their pain receptors. The scientist then rolled a piece of paper to resemble a cigarette and told the subjects that they were going to be burnt by a cigarette bud. Each one of them felt the pain from being poked by a paper. One of them had a burn mark on the area where she was poked.

How awesome is that? You might think it's crazy but it's true. I think people who watch House would approve. There's one episode that shows a variation of this. Still, the mind holds the greatest power.

Oh and the movie was pretty cool I guess, the chic was LE BOMB! Shit she was hot... Sigh...

Anyways, Dr. Sabry did not come as expected and I officially give up. Fuck him. Seriously. He tells me he's busy. Har-Har, has it occured to you that I'm a Medical Student? Maybe not. Still, I'm willing to sacrifice my time and meet you, what excuse do you have for not doing the same?

-Nepal's PM resigned which caused protests all over Nepal.
-Taliban and the Pakistan Government have agreed on a ceasefire. Still, the civilians are the ones that are really suffering.
-The US Army in Afghanistan caught red-handed trying to spread christianity which violates the code of conduct.

What else? Hmmm... Oh yeah, the funniest piece of news I've heard in a long time. Somalian pirates tried to attack a commercial ship. Or so they thought. Turns out, it was a French warship. 11 of em got caught. Tough luck mateys..

Sleepless Nights 5

I have confirmed the whereabouts of my camera charger. That took me two months... How long am I gonna take for my specs? 6 years? Raam Janne.

Anways, tomorrow I'm gonna meet up with Dr. Sabri. God, please let the fucker at least be there... I grow tired of waiting two bloody hours and he doesn't even arrive. The exhibition is this month? Damn, May came like a fucking bullet train didn't it? A lot has happened... Sighums...

I need my fucking Hindi! It's like I'm losing a part of myself without it. The 5 minute dance scenes, the impossible change of attire, the drama and most notable of them all, the sound effects. It's awesome how a few seconds before the punch/slap/terajang hits the opponent, there's already a DISH/DUSH... These are the things that makes it so umm... Watchable i guess. Besides, some songs are plain unrivalled. Ever wonder why everybody remembers Kuch Kuch Hota Hai? It's the song. Get what I mean now?

Tried to remember the hindi language again the other day. The result? Arab clouds the words. I kept on thinking 'Enta' is 'you' in hindi. Which sucks. A lot. Don't get me started on Punjabi. I couldn't even swear in the damn language anymore. Which makes it boring to chat with Sukh. Dude, admit it, without 'Terre Ma's its a tad bit boring.

My Latin is improving. I hope. I guess this is what I get for not actually learning from a teacher. Hmmm... I couldn't make sentences. Grammar becomes a fuck. Again. Was that the millionth time or the billionth? I think I lost count at ten...

Pictures! Yes, which blog would be complete without them. (The author admires his huge collection of incomplete blogs)

This has got to be my favourite photo in my portfolio. I still remember the time i took this; PWTC with Sukh, warm rain, awesome-ness to the max! Corny, i know. Still, i thought, what the fuck, the rain is what i really need anyway so i set my camera, gave Sukh some basic instructions and voila. Rainy Day by SadisticParadise has been officially born. It's a bit blurry here, if you want (The author supresses his urge to type 'Please do me a favour and fucking), visit my DeviantArt page for a better view. The link is somewhere under the profile box me thinks. Oh, and talking bout times in PWTC, do you know that the UMNO building has no security whatsoever? Sukh, PJ and me waltz in through the back door and we were in. We even asked the staff where the exit was. And got to ride in the huge staff elevator. Yes, I'm a kid, it was awesome.

So I end this reminiscing. Good ol' days.

Doodles in Lectures.

This is what i 'doodled ' in class. I have no idea what it was at first but when i finished drawing the eyes (one eye has been cropped out due to total uselessness and ugliness) i started to get these ideas and well, lets just say nothing got to me in the lecture.

What does this drawing signify? A couple of things actually. Lemme start with the hand.

Hmmm lets see. The hand represents the action of man. In this drawing, it is mainly of evil; this is signified by the tattoos which is sin. This is followed by the eye.

Ugly, i know, don't need to annoy me. Anyways, the eye represents what we see and our intent. This is because the eye serves as our vision; we see things and then decide what to do with it. The design that is on both sides of the eye signifies our conscience. The one on the left; evil, it is full of sharp edges which could injure and it is twisted. The one on the right is of purity, it curves therefore it does not pierce, there is no complications. The frame around the eye show that it is ultimate, the master. Next; the crown.

Okay, i admit. Its more alien-like. The crown is there to further prove the point that the eye is the master.

The fingers wrapped around the earth in flames. The fingers around the earth is to show that we try to save the earth, we try to protect it. However the way we do it is often wrong and results in further destruction. Therefore; the flames are present around them.

Yes, i doodle a lot. In unrelated news:

  • Arsenal won yesterday!
  • The arts teacher in need.
  • Jiggly-Jiggly!
Bout Arsenal. Not really contented with how they play but still, a win is a win.

My photography teacher has been pestering me and Afiq bout how much he wants to see us. Problem is, I went a few times and he wasn't there. Le Fuck? I mean you pressure us to a point that we feel sorry for you and you weren't there? Asshole. But that dude is awesome, his works are crazy. He wanted to see us to explain bout some exhibition he wanted us to join. Hmmm...

Oh and of course, Jiggly-Jiggly.

I won't tell you, it is for my personal satisfaction that the event occured XD

Till next time I doodle something significant, ciow.

The sunset depression.

I walked to God knows where with Kadir this evening. I was bored, fuck me. So basically he was like we are gonna watch the sunset. Fine by me, sunsets are awesome. Yeah, an awesome way to induce depression.

So we walked, talked laughed, ogled, watched etc etc until we reached the said place. We got a spot which was directly in front of the sun (I can find no other way to describe this). So we talked, laughed, ogled, watched etc etc and ordered some coke (Note: Coke as in Coca-Cola. Don't pester me with lame jokes bout cocaine.)

Smoked, blinded by the sun.

Then Kadir decided to pay for the coke. This dude waltz by, says it was 10 pounds.

Dude: 10 pounds.
Me: Fuck off.
Kadir: *Same context as what the fuck but in a more polite way.
Scene: this went on for eternity.
Dude: 7 pounds.
Me: Fuck off.
Kadir: No, 5 pounds.
Scene: Another eternity passes by.

We gave up. Basically, we paid 7 bucks for 2 mini cokes. What a pain.

Then the sun started to set.

From the proud King it once was, it descended lower and lower down, averting the gazes of the clouds surrounding him, he lost his power, his radiance. In the end he was reduced to a red orb, slowly drowned by the merciless horizon.

And with that, I got depressed. Why? Why did such a beautiful scenery bring me down? It occurred to me how fucked up that 'beautiful scenery' really is. I guessed it pained me to see how something so powerful could be reduced to nothingness, yet doing so in a matter of grace. It pained me not to see something fall and not get destroyed. How it could bring out the most vibrant colours in the sky even after it had disappeared from view. The injustice.

It also brought back memories. Good ones mostly, maybe one or two bad ones. I remember the times in college where me and Sukh would wait for the sunset just to see one particular building to be completely outlined by the bright sun. It was a balcony; shaped in a Zen way and it was and still is one of the most beautiful things i have ever witnessed in my life. Nothing could beat that. (Note: I am not gay. Tis is not a gay scene.)

I started thinking. How could one fall with so much grace. Can a human do that? Can a human leave a trail of vibrancy even after said human has passed on? I hate these questions, they disturb my peace of mind. For example, a leader. This situation is far deeper than let's say a leader quits and the followers regard him as the best fuck around. If it is a leader, I would probably imagine it to be more like:

The leader stood up, brushed his clothes and smiled. His eyes scanned the crowd and he started to walk towards the people that has always looked towards him for help. As he walked, the crowd parted until the last man stepped aside. The leader kept on walking, until he disappeared from view. The people have lost their leader yet in their hearts they could never substitute a place for him. They never spoke of him after that but he was always with them.

Yeah something like that. I don't know.

Today was filled with boredom and depression due to sunsets. Tomorrow, this will burn and turn into ashes. The wind will caress it, the wind will adopt it, the wind will take it away.

The Typist.

The taps of shivering fingers on the keys of an old, no, ancient typewriter echoed in a room. A big room, however this may be because of the total lack of furniture, except for a table, a chair and a typewriter. The walls were white, so was the floor. There was no roof. The clouds hovered over the room in sadness.

The man sitting on the chair was smartly dressed; a crisp shirt and a pair of equally crisp trousers with a belt to compliment them. And this is how it has been for a long time. His face was a cocktail of emotions; some say that there were none. He has short hair, sharp features and if you observe closely; tiny stubbles poking out of his jaw line and above his upper lip. The ones who were fortunate enough to meet him, let alone speak to him were always puzzled and will never fail to ask him this question:

“What do you exactly do for a living?”

He in turn will be puzzled at this question and often spend countless hours thinking of this particular question. What does he do for a living? What is living? Something one does to continue one’s life? If so, then what is life? His head throbs at the sheer amount of inquiries that arises from a seemingly innocent question. He hated questions. It is something so intrusive, so disrespectful, tearing open ones past and revealing one’s evil, it causes chaos and arguments, it is destructive. Some questions that is. He sighed and continued typing. A knock on a non-existent door. He walked towards it and twisted the invisible knob.

There were two people. A man; dishevelled, reeking of liquor, the carbon copy of a homeless drunk. The other, an elegant woman in a flowing dress, her scent of lavender was intoxicating yet pleasing, the innocence that gleamed like jewels in her eyes were astounding. They walked past the typist, the woman sat down on a chair which had suddenly appeared; the man poured himself a drink from a bottle that had also mysteriously materialized. They looked at him and smiled. He frowned and went back to his never-ending typing. Without even looking at the guest he asked their names.

The woman smiled ever so sweetly and said;

“I go by the name Somnium. A pleasure to meet you.”

The man burped and lit a cigarette. In between the puffs, he managed to squeeze out his name.

“I,” he exhaled a cloud of blue smoke, “am,” a cough, “Veritas.”

The typist massaged his temple with the tip of his index fingers and closed his eyes. First the question. Now this. Two uninvited freaks from nowhere waltz into his room and made themselves at home. They even have weird names. Somehow he knew that along the line of his life, uninvited guest with weird names spells trouble. Yet, he decided to ignore them and continue working.

The guests never did anything. Except for the man, what’s his name… Veritas, yes, he kept on drinking. Silently the typist wondered if he would ever get drunk. Somnium sat on her chair and was as pretty as the stars that crowned the moon. She was perfect, the typist thought. A week passed. Since the arrival of the guests, the typewriter has been idle, a thin layer of dust slept on the keys, the paper wondered when will be the day it will be tainted by the ink. The typist sat on his chair and stared into thin air. He cannot work with two pair of eyes set on him. He had never seen the guests since the day they decided to become the typist’s lifelong companions. Yet he knew they were eyeing him, waiting for him to do something. It’s like a sixth sense to the typist. He knows when people are watching him, judging him, spreading lies about him behind his back. It helped him realise the ugliness of the public; therefore he made a decision to be a recluse.

Finally, after months of waiting, the guests spoke. Both of them spoke at the same time which brought a chill to the typist’s spine. He twirled around for the first time and his muscles screamed in protest. Somnium and Veritas were now chanting; both were asking, no, ordering the typist to do the same thing, one voice acted as an echo to the other, complimenting and deafening.

“Ask us a question.”

That was all they said. The typist ignored them, shut his ears and sang out loud, sat in the corner furthest from them but to no avail. Their voice pierced his eardrums and the information sent to his brain was overwhelming. He gave up. He knew what he was going to ask them. The only question he could think of those days.

“What do you do for a living?”

Both of them laughed out loud. Something about the way the guests seem to speak at the same time induced fear in the typist’s heart. He sighed. Somnium adjusted her hair and stood up. She walked almost painfully slow in the direction of the typist and brought her full lips towards the typist’s ear. The scent of lavender once again intoxicated the typist and he had to suppress himself from gagging.

“I am the one everybody looks for in times of trouble. I make them smile and make their wildest desires come true. They walk hand in hand as their problems seem to float away.” She walked back towards her seat in the same manner and brushed away any foreign material that had settled onto her seat in her absence with a wave of her handkerchief. The typist frowned. He did not understand anything Somnium had said. It was only then he realised that Veritas was staggering towards him, the stench of liquor substituted the intoxicating scent of lavender.

“I hurt the people I come across. However, in my wake, I also bring forth enlightenment. Many fail to see it and deny me but they will always come to terms with my existence. Most of them do not live to experience this, they live and die denying me. Now, typist, ask us the next question.”

The typist struggled to breathe with the stench of Veritas. Not only he reeked of liquor, he also had bad breath and an equally toxic body odour. The typist was forced to use a paper to banish the smell, much to Veritas’s amusement. He thought of the next question he wanted to ask these mysterious guests of his. He realised that they may be there to answer the questions that had been burdening him for the length of his life. He played along.

“What is living?” he smiled. Would he get the answer? Would he be finally liberated with the answers that were about to be revealed to him? Only time would tell.

Again Somnium approached him. With her, the overpowering scent of lavender returned.

“Living is being happy all the time, achieved by any means necessary to a person. That is living.”

“Living is bearing with the cruelty of life and learning from it. Living is learning from one’s mistakes and growing stronger from it. That is living.” Veritas murmured.

The typist knew it was his cue for the next question. “If that is so, then what is life then?”

“To understand life, one must experience all that one desires. That is the only way to know the meaning of life.” Somnium glided back to her seat, like a lost soul searching for its body.

“To understand life, one must experience hardship, suffering and anguish. One must be on the verge of death to fully understand what life means. That is the only way to know the meaning of life.” Veritas took a long drag from his cigarette.

The typist was now at a lost for words. What know? Both of the answers given wasn’t satisfactory to him, if what they said was true, he would need a lifetime to understand and verify what both of them had said. Then it occurred to him, the final question. Somehow he knew it was the final question.

“Considering what both of you have said, I need to ask you a final question.” Veritas and Somnium nodded and both of them gave him a gesture to go on. He smiled and asked; “Why live?”

The typist mouth gaped at what happened after he had asked the question. Veritas and Somnium started to dance, they kept a constant radius form each other and the tempo increased. It was as if they were dancing to a music that cannot be heard by the typist. As the guests danced faster around each other, the distance between them grew shorter and shorter until they finally fused together. The figure that had substituted the guest was no longer Veritas the drunk or Somnium the perfect. It was someone very familiar to the typist. It was himself.

“Pleased to meet you, I am Terrigenus. I am known to the world as many, for I am many. I am Nefas and I am also Sanctus. I am Turpis as well as Décor. I am Deus and I am Diabolus. I am you as you are me.” He took a bow and cleared his throat. “The answer to your final question is simple. You live to find out the answers. You live to understand. You live to come to terms with your defects, you also live to learn to live the life of a peasant when you can afford to be a king.” He smiled and the chair that Somnium was sitting on disappeared. “Well, I’ll be taking off now. I have kept you busy for quite awhile now haven’t I? Please accept my apologies.”

With that, he was gone. The typist was unable to mouth any words. His questions were answered yet he felt so empty. He turned and faced the typewriter and typed the following on the paper which was relieved to be finally stamped with ink.

‘Human’.

*End*

A/N: Gaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!! God this has got to be the hardest fucking piece I have ever written in my life. The Latin is beyond fucked up, kudos to Freelang’s English-Latin dictionary for the help with some words I wasn’t sure of. I know you guys must be fucking zonked right now. Chill, read the translations below and maybe you’ll understand. If you don’t I’m sorry, maybe this is too deep for you. This is beyond what a normal teen is supposed to write... I need to get my head checked.

Veritas: Reality, Somnium: Dream, Terrigenus: The one who is from earth; human, Nefas: Sin, Sanctus: Saint, Turpis: Ugly, Décor: Beauty, Deus: God, Diabolus: Devil.

Comments mucho appreciated. Or I’ll set the Munchkins on you. I swear I will.
