Sleepless Nights 63 - Anarchy

I read V for Vendetta - Again - and my God it has not lost any of its fucking charm. I feel like a goddamn groupie baring my tits for a lead guitarist during a concert.

Not pictured: Me baring my D cups.

I know. Nightmares I bestow upon thee. Moving on.

Main point would be anarchy. There's so much misconception regarding anarchy and I guess I've never really given it any thought before. What's anarchy, then? Is it just blindly following ones will and doing whatever the fuck one wants to with utter disregard towards everything else? If that's the case, then why do the learned scholars agree to some extent towards this appalling idea? Cause believe me you, if everybody were to just go ahead and do whatever the fuck they want to, the world would resemble hell in more ways than what they the scriptures say.

There. Now you won't have to read Dante's any more.
What prompted me to actually think about it was this line in V for Vendetta:

Eve: All this riot and uproar, V... Is this anarchy? Is this the Land-of-Do-As-You-Please?

V: No, this is only the land of Take-What-You-Want. Anarchy means "without leaders", not "without order". With anarchy comes an age of ordnung, of true order, which is to say voluntary order... This age of ordnung will begin when the mad and incoherent cycle of verwirrung that these bulletins reveal has run its course. This is not anarchy, Eve. This is chaos.

It says a lot. While chaos and anarchy are often piled into the same heap of misconception, they are hardly the same. Complete opposites, in fact. Mankind have dreamt of a state of utopia, where our civilisation has reached a point where advancements would no longer be necessary, or to be exact advancement comes to a halt. We've reached the maximum level of achievement, unravelled every single mystery, fought the war against ourselves and came out the unscathed victor. Well, this utopia, however sweet, would be impossible to achieve. One can attempt to do it but one obstacle is in the path. That thing is human nature.

See, the idea of anarchy is that society could function without a leader and the body of authority controlling the masses. People often say that anarchy is a horrible little twat because in their minds, they are thinking of what would happen to the world today when you eradicate governing bodies. However, let's say that one day human nature could be tamed and everybody would be essentially good. There would be no need of any government present, no need for authority considering mankind has achieved a state of no evil. That is why anarchy cannot exist. Human nature cannot verily be tamed or be rid of evil, hence the government is still needed (Given that they themselves are not corrupt and do their jobs. Hah.). Utopia is a state of anarchy, and a beautiful one at that.

Can you actually imagine the significance of it? Imagine not having to have a sliver of doubt in your hearts when going to the bank. Imagine not having to fear society, not having to be scared of sending your children to the playground. Imagine if everybody was kind. Impossible, yes, but it's a nice thought.

Eargasm of the day: Speaks for itself, I believe.
